Morocco is going digital, and small businesses with it

In September 2024, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform presented the national strategy "Morocco Digital 2030". Among its goals: raising the number of young people trained in digital professions from 14,000 to 100,000 a year by 2030, growing the number of startups from 380 in 2022 to 3,000 by 2030, and creating 240,000 direct jobs in the sector.

Very small, small and medium-sized businesses make up more than 95% of Morocco’s economic fabric. The DigiTPME network was launched to coordinate support for them, and Maroc PME runs programmes dedicated to their digital transformation.

A national strategy does not digitise a company: it creates a context. What digitises a company is a website that serves a purpose, a tool that replaces a notebook, a team that knows how to use it, and someone following through.

How we go about it

  1. Know where you stand

An honest assessment before buying any tool: what is already digital, what is not, and what has no business being digital in your case.

  2. Choose what helps

We keep the minimum that changes something, not the full arsenal. One more unused tool costs twice: once to buy, once in attention.

  3. Put it in place

Website, social presence, tracking tools: installed, set up around the way you work, and filled with your real data.

  4. Train the people who will use it

A tool nobody can use is an expense, not an investment. Training is part of the project, with EF2C Academy as our training partner.

  5. Follow through

A review after a few weeks: what is actually used, what was dropped, and why. That is where it gets adjusted.

Your digital identity

It is what a client finds when they search for your name. Today they search before calling; what they find decides whether they call.

The website
What it must say, to whom, and what it must trigger: a call, a form, a visit. A website that triggers nothing is a brochure.
Social media
Which ones to actually keep up, at what pace, with what. One well-kept account beats four abandoned six months ago.
What people find elsewhere
Listings, directories, reviews, old contact details. What you do not control still speaks for you.

The tools that save time

  • Client and lead tracking: who was contacted, when, and what comes next.
  • Quotes and invoices: produced quickly, numbered properly, easy to find again.
  • Calendar and appointments: fewer exchanges to settle on a time.
  • Shared documents: one version, in one place.

From project to MVP

When your project is a digital product or service, the point is not to build everything: it is to reach the first usable version quickly, the one you can show a client and charge for.

We frame what belongs in that first version and what waits, then we support you until it exists. What is still missing gets decided with the first users, not before them.
